FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:
Our Fellowship & Community Events

What is the purpose of the social events hosted by the Philippine American Association of North Carolina Inc.?

The primary purpose of our social activities is to fulfill the Fellowship pillar of our mission, serving as a "home away from home" for the community. Since we were EST. 1984, PAANC has hosted events to foster unity, preserve cultural ties, and provide a supportive network for Filipino-Americans across North Carolina. These gatherings ensure that our heritage remains a vibrant part of our daily lives while strengthening community bonds.

Does PAANC host annual community traditions in North Carolina?

Yes. The Philippine American Association of North Carolina Inc. is well-known for its long-standing annual traditions, including our Annual Gala, Barrio Fiesta, and various benefit tournaments like our golf and badminton events. These traditions are a cornerstone of our organization's 40-year legacy in the state, providing consistent opportunities for the community to gather, celebrate, and support our 501(c)(3) non-profit initiatives.

How do PAANC benefit tournaments support the organization's mission?

Benefit tournaments, such as our annual golf and badminton events, are designed to merge Fellowship with our Humanitarian and Educational pillars. While these events offer social engagement, the proceeds directly fund our outreach programs and scholarships. This integrated approach allows PAANC to leverage community social activities to provide tangible support for those in need, a practice we have maintained since our founding in 1984.
